We have been successfully running our own yoga retreats here since 2008 & are increasingly being approached by other yoga teachers asking whether we would consider renting the space to
them for their own retreats.
We have decided to make the space available for hire for up to 20 people during 2024 the weeks we are not running our own retreats. We are available for hire certain weeks throughout the year.
We generally run our retreats starting Saturday evening & finishing Saturday morning (7 nights accommodation & 6 full days of yoga ) to fit in with bus times & to allow the day free for change over. We would ask that you plan your retreat dates within this time frame unless you are planning your retreat sometime between November & March as we have more flexibility in the low season.
The retreat is equipped for all weather conditions.
As experienced Yoga Teachers ourselves we really understand the demands of holding a safe &
nourishing space for students on retreat and as such make expert & understanding hosts.
If you are new to holding your own retreats & have any concerns or need any advice we are more
than happy to help you out.
We will keep out of your way & leave you to get on with things but One or both of us will be
discreetly onsite at all times incase you need any assistance .

** All bedrooms have a bed ( large single/ double), 100% cotton bedding, feather duvets & pillows
(we have some hypoallergenic too if anyone has allergies), bed throws, mosquito net, bedside
table, chest of drawers, hanging space, bedside & over head lights.
The bathrooms have flush toilets, showers and hand basins. The Eco caravans & Camping spots have showers & long drop compost toilets.
There is another long drop compost toilet near the practice space and swimming pool.
Practice Space :
We have an insulated wooden purpose built 72 square meter practice space with wooden flooring and yantra stained glass windows, comfortably accommodating up to 20 people. The space also has a wood burner for the cooler months and lots of ventilation for the summer months.

Heating - Cast Iron Wood Burner, Portable Gas Heater
* unfortunately we do not have a specially reinforced ceiling so ariel yoga is not a possibility

dammed to create fresh water plunge pools.

Food :
We have a wonderful, dedicated Professional Chef who will provide 3 nutritious & delicious
organic (where possible) whole food buffet style meals per day, you can decide whether you prefer
the retreat to be vegetarian or vegan . We can accommodate most special dietary requirements as
long as we know in advance eg gluten free. Sugar free Treat Each evening -eg cake, energy balls, raw cheese cake, raw cookies. If you wish to spend one day at the river we supply a picnic lunch.
Travel Here :
There are many flight options into Lisbon or Porto. We do not provide Airport Shuttles as the Rede Expressos Coaches are comfortable, inexpensive & reliable. There are 2 services a day from Lisbon & 1 from Porto You would take the coach to Oleiros our local town & we would meet you all there & bring you back to the retreat centre.
Retreat Hire Cost :
None Refundable deposit of 1000 Euro upon booking the space
We Have a set price of 5000 Euros per week for groups of up to 10 people. Between 11 & 20
people we would charge an extra 250 Euros per person per week.
it is possible to hire the retreat for less than a week. Price to be negotiated.
Questions You or Your Students may have :
Internet - we have open network wifi available in the main house or if you are planning a digital
detox retreat we will happily turn it off.
Power Points - All the bedrooms have power sockets, the eco caravans are off grid but there are plenty of places to charge mobile phones
Eco Caravans - These are totally off grid but do have solar powered reading lamps.
Alcohol - If you would like we can make Portuguese Beer & Organic wines available for purchase
Mosquitos - There are a few mosquitos around in summer months, all rooms have mosquito nets
Towels & Bedding- are supplied for you to use
Washing Machine - we have a large one you are welcome to use at 5 euros per load
Cleaning - We do not make the beds or clean the bedrooms during your stay but our cleaner will check the bathrooms & common areas daily.
Beverages - we supply black tea & a big range of herbal teas free of charge, there is also fair trade coffee available for which we make a small charge.
Advertising Your retreat :
Unfortunately we are unable to assist in this area & you would be fully responsible for advertising
& promoting your own retreat.
